How we appraise projects
The NWDA has a robust and visible appraisal process that meets
certain criteria set out by the Treasury and the DTi.
Project Appraisal is the independent and objective process that
is used by all Regional Development Agencies to:
- Assess whether the project proposal is viable and
worthwhile
- Consider whether it is better than the alternative options
- Identify the risks and scale of any likely impacts to ourselves
and / or the delivery body
- Identify who the key beneficiaries of the project are likely to
be
- Clearly document and communicate the conclusions and
recommendations of the Appraisal Process
