Improving Infrastructure

media city construction

The NWDA plays an important role in influencing the strategic planning of the region’s infrastructure, including provision for transport, energy and waste. We are also involved in shaping policies for housing and employment sites, as well as assisting in the delivery of strategic regional sites.

The NWDA also works in the areas of sustainable building and design quality, which are important considerations in the provision of the region’s infrastructure.

Green Infrastructure

The region’s green infrastructure is its network of natural spaces, from rivers to moorland. Much of what the NWDA does regarding green infrastructure is covered by its work on the natural economy, environmental quality and land regeneration.
