Our People

The NWDA has a clear operational management structure, lead by the Executive Management Board, to ensure the effective delivery of the Regional Economic Strategy. The Agency is divided into directorates, with each led by a member of the Executive Management Board, which is led by Chief Executive Steven Broomhead.

The NWDA is governed by a private sector-led Board, which is appointed by the Department of Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS). The Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Agency across all areas of activity.

Executive Management Board

Our Executive Management Board (EMB) is made up of the NWDA Chief Executive and the directors which head up or support the six Agency directorates. Each member of the EMB contributes to the strategic direction of the NWDA and provides leadership within NWDA and with partners and stakeholders.
